CAMPAIGNS

We organize various campaigns to raise money for our projects while promoting education and environmental protection.

GAG EVENT

As part of our BLUE project "Next Generation", on September 29, 2022, together with the students of the Gluckenstein Comprehensive School (GAG) and the Homburg investment company FERI, we held our successful kick-off event "Sustainability as a (professional) future opportunity". The occasion was this year's Hessian Day of Sustainability.

Sustainability offers an incredible number of possibilities and future opportunities that many young people are not even aware of. This is exactly where we start together with "FERI4Education". We want to create awareness at school that education is an essential prerequisite for global, sustainable development and for securing our future and that sustainability offers potential new training opportunities.

Under the motto "Sustainability as a (professional) future opportunity", the young people worked out what contribution each individual can make to preserving our planet. In addition, the participating students were trained as GAG sustainability ambassadors as part of the workshop. The aim is that they then pass on their knowledge to school and inspire as many classmates as possible for the topic of sustainability.

Further focus workshops on individual sustainability goals and special professional fields are already being planned - also in cooperation with other Bad Homburg companies and institutions.

VISIT TO CHILD AID PAPUA

In summer 2022 we visited Child Aid Papua in Raja Ampat, Indonesia. The school is located on Gam, one of the main islands, between the two villages, Sawinggrai and Kapisawar. We were able to get an idea of the progress of the school and the education of the children on site. In addition to the main building, there is now another teaching building as well as a small workshop, kitchen and a waste separation plant. The buildings, footbridges that lead through the mangroves to the school buildings, the school desks, cupboards and other school equipment are made with a lot of care and love. Look at the pictures they say more than any words.

MORE ABOUT THE CALENDAR 2021

With the proceeds from our calendar campaign, we support our Child Aid Papua project.

Jonas and his team have been involved in Sawinggrai, West Papua for several years and have set up a learning center for the village children about education, health education and environmental protection. You can find beautiful pictures, exciting information and impressive videos under the following links:
https://www.childaidpapua.org/& https://www.andrinfretz.com/video.

West Papua is located in the Indonesian part of Papua New Guinea and has one of the most spectacular and species-rich coral reefs in the world with the offshore Raja Ampat. Climate change and plastic waste represent the greatest threat to the coral reefs and their inhabitants. Only with education and awareness can we ensure that people in the remote provinces of West Papua deal with nature more consciously in the long term.

Child Aid Papua reaches over 2000 local children with its projects. This includes the foundation's new high school, a sports field, the school's own coral garden, garden and waste disposal projects and much more.

Specifically, we will finance the purchase of laptops for the children of Child Aid Papua High School in Sawinggrai.

The following 12 monthly pictures were selected by children and young people from different nations. A big thank you goes to our jury members Victoria, Lena, Mia, Nils, Arnaud, Aurelie, Clara, Amelie, Silas, Matthias, Henrike Michael, Johanna, Valentin, Dilara, Selim and Betül.
